- Is it really free?
- Yes. The free plan includes 300 AI replies every month for one dispensary. There’s no credit card and no trial clock, and your replies refill at the start of each month. If you need more, you can upgrade from your dashboard.
- Do I need a developer?
- No. We look at your site and show the exact steps for your platform. On WordPress you install our plugin. On Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Shopify and most other site builders you paste one line into your site settings. If someone else looks after your site, we email them the steps. If your site uses Google Tag Manager, whoever manages it can add Botender as a tag.
- Does it work with my menu?
- It sits on your own website next to your menu, including embedded Dutchie, Jane, Leafly and Weedmaps menus. With a Jane menu it also shows live products, stock and specials. With any other menu it answers from your website and your documents, and can show product cards from a product list you upload or a Google Sheet, or link shoppers into your menu.
- What happens if I run out of replies?
- The widget asks shoppers to contact the store until your replies refill at the start of the next month, or until you add more. We email you before it happens.
- Will it give medical advice?
- No. It describes products and effects the way a careful budtender would and refuses medical claims. A disclaimer shows under the chat by default.
- What about age verification?
- An age gate is on by default. If your site already has one, you can turn ours off so shoppers only see one.
- Can my staff take over a conversation?
- Yes. Replies from the inbox appear in the shopper’s chat within seconds and the AI pauses for that conversation.
- Will it slow down my site?
- The script loads after the rest of your page, so your page shows first.
